At Cinfo, our purpose goes beyond developing technology; we seek to create solutions that truly matter, that help others and solve problems. This goal has guided us at every step of our recent project, which we developed in collaboration with the Diputación of Pontevedra, as part of the “Hub to fight against the digital divide and unwanted loneliness in rural areas of the province of Pontevedra.”
Within this project, we have launched Dixitalízate, an innovative and accessible multimedia platform, designed and developed specifically for our seniors. Dixitalízate offers tools and resources to seniors to combat the digital divide and loneliness in rural areas.
- Through simple and engaging videos, Dixitalízate teaches seniors how to carry out everyday tasks, explore new forms of entertainment, and receive health tips.
- Additionally, we have designed an intuitive browsing experience to ensure that accessing the content is easy and accessible.
- Finally, one of the features that have been most appreciated is that many of these videos are starring the seniors themselves, thus generating more interest in those watching.
At Cinfo, our contribution to the project has been comprehensive, and we have delivered a complete project:
- We crafted the video scripts and selected and recorded the best communicators. This process allowed us to discover brilliant talents, some of whom have even launched their own channels within the platform.
- We equipped several classrooms in the villages participating in the project with appropriate technology and systems to turn them into learning and connection spaces. Here, participants can apply their new skills, share experiences, and continue learning together. Additionally, we implemented a mobile solution so that the Diputación can bring training to more locations, ensuring the expansion and sustainability of the project.
At Cinfo, we like to believe that our work contributes, even a little, to the well-being of our seniors.
