Featured Project: Real-Time Big Data for Parfois

Recently, we had the opportunity to collaborate with Parfois on an innovative project focused on real-time data processing in their physical stores. This project has made a significant difference in how Parfois manages and utilizes their data.

Project Objective

The main goal was to provide Parfois with updated and actionable information about activity in their stores, covering sales, returns, and customer foot traffic. This information is crucial for optimizing decision-making at various levels of the organization.

How Did We Achieve This?

  1. Data Collection: We established a system to collect sales and return tickets every 15 minutes.
  2. Foot Traffic Data Integration: We incorporated a customer foot traffic counting system, providing a comprehensive view of in-store activity.
  3. Metrics Generation: We created aggregated metrics of sales and returns per store, facilitating detailed analysis.
  4. Dashboard Development: We designed customized dashboards for clear and rapid data visualization.
  5. Complete Integration: We ensured the system’s integration with other services within Parfois’ ecosystem.
  6. Training: We trained Parfois’ IT team on the use of all the implemented tools.

Results and Future

The project started in three stores and included exhaustive load and scalability testing, validating the proposed architecture for potential implementation across the entire store network. It has been a significant step in qualifying Parfois teams in their data strategy based on OpenSource tools.
